International Visual Communication Award - 2012
So I’ve only just managed to get a (terrible) picture of an award that I won months ago, during my time at Darkside, which I have no idea to this day who entered, who actually collected, or where it’s even been kept for the last few months, for a project I had to knock out in two hectic weeks.

It’s also that nice shade of bronze that looks kinda gold, so I can convince myself that I’m up there with Wiggins, Mo, and all the other Olympic heroes of the year. Still, it’s an honour to add to the MVA nomination and Parent’s Choice Silver award that I can treasure on my proverbial mantelpiece. I don’t have a real mantelpiece.

International Visual Communication Award
The winning entry did look like it cost about 3 million to make, so I’m extra appreciative that a 2 week deadline-panic stress-festival ended up getting recognition! Gwynethy shout-outs to my co-winning-award-sharers – Garry Brown (previz, animation, and general awesome) and Kirk Smith (for soldiering through all the 2d diagrammatic sections), troopers as ever!

You can see some stills from the project (and less hyphenated buzz-words) here!

Happy new year everyone!
